Goodbye Jasper

Clementine's good friend Jasper is leaving tomorrow for a new adventure in Belize. Watching the two of them together has given us a taste of what it will be like for Clementine to have a sibling, and we are very sad to have to say goodbye.





Clementine will be very lonely without you.

You may wonder what two wonderful people like Clementine's parents decide to do for their wedding anniversary... Give up? Here's a hint:


I spent it in the hospital getting some IV antibiotics, thwarting an extremely half-hearted attempt at an early arrival by Clementine's brother, and spending my first night away from my baby girl ever. Jacy spent it worried about me and taking care of Clementine on his own after being out of parenting mode for his three weeks in China. So, it was pretty terrible, but we got these cute pictures of Clementine in the courtyard garden of the maternity ward wearing the gorgeous dress that Grandma Shelley made for her.
